Tekla Structure Issue:
Hello all,
Does anyone know if you can split a contour plate?
The reason I ask is we have a job that has multiple walls that consist of 6mm fibre cement sheets internally and externally with approx 150mm concrete infill. Our aim is to model in the internal and external fibre cement sheets and create reports that include length, width, height & metres squared.
Once a whole wall elevation has been modelled and all door / window openings have been cut out we then have to make multiple cuts on the top of the internal & external sheets.
The problem with modelling in using a plate profile / concrete panel is that once we cut the top of the plate profile / concrete panel using 'cut with polygon' command the material list does not recognise the new height based on the highest point. Any suggestions on customising a report to show this new height?
I understand that you can adjust the height of the plate profile / concrete panel by entering the value in the profile name / shape however as there are a lot of changes in height over each wall elevation this becomes too time consuming.
Once all cuts have been created we then have to split each wall elevation into varying widths up to 1200mm wide.
In previous jobs we have been doing this type of detailing in 2D and we had to manually dimension and enter values into an excel spreadsheet.
As I have mentioned in earlier posts I am very new to Tekla and any help would be greatly appreciated.
